We have had Karol and his team work at our property for the past three months. They are cleaning up the site as I write. During the entire period they have shown extreme courtesy towards us and showed a great deal of patience with our young son who took a liking to them and will probably want to work construction when he is as big and strong as “Monsieur Karol” and “Monsieur Yarek”.
About half-way through, we had our second child, and kept living in the house nonetheless. That tells you something about their ability to clean up after themselves (every day) and not being louder than they needed to.
So from a behavioural point of view, I can only commend Karol and his team highly.
Now regarding the work they have done at the house, we have not had a chance to enjoy it (yet) but we are confident we will love what they did for us from tomorrow onwards. As a word of background, they fully revamped our lower ground floor (inc. glass box at the back, new shower room, internal sliding partitions, additional storage). There was some serious structural work to be done (removing chimney breasts, bigger opening at the back with excavation etc.). Neither our neighbours nor ourselves suffered any fall out as Karol’s crew worked cautiously and diligently.
In terms of finishes, everything looks great from what I saw. I do intend to comb through the place as I am one to pay attention to minute details but I am expecting a positive outcome post- inspection. Indeed, I made a few comments to Karol during the project and every time I brought something to his attention, he knew already and had a plan for it -hopefully I was not too much of a pain in the process.
This is a recommendation for Karol so I will not pass judgment on other professionals who have been involved in our project. Suffice it to say that Karol and his team are the only ones who never let us down. Though we suffered some setbacks, we kept telling ourselves it could have been a lot worse if the disappointing party had been Karol instead. So all in all, we consider ourselves lucky, especially with all the terrible construction stories we have all heard.
Karol delivered on time, on price, and on specifications all the while being a very friendly presence in our home. As silly as it sounds, we will actually miss him… and we will need to work extra hard to keep our boy entertained.

I have recently used the services of Karol Kardasz in a 6 week project to partially refurbish our lower ground floor. This involved the creation of a new room, removal of internal walls with support beams required, cupboarding, removal of staircase, new floors, windows and door, replacement of ageing pipework, carpentry, creation of Kitchen Island and wine room.

I can highly recommend Karol. He was always punctual, and there everyday with his colleague. They worked in an organised manner and were very tidy at the end of each day and respectful of the fact that we were living at the premises throughout. His work was of a high standard. The job took longer than expected but only due to our own increases in what was required. Karol was a pleasure to have around and was very professional. Regular updates on costs and the schedule of completed works were given which was useful and kept things clear.

We are delighted with our new space and would recommend Karol for any works big and small, with or without an architect involvement.

Karol Kardasz has done the most fantastic job on my new bathroom. I am extremely pleased with the result. He was pleasant to have around and consulted me on all design decisions. The project involved cladding the walls and floor in marble and fitting a marble sink, under floor heating, heated towel rail and bespoke glass shower enclosure. I am delighted with every aspect of the work. Karol is a perfectionist and I thoroughly recommend him.

Karol managed the full renovation of a one-bedroom flat in 2017, including structural work.

Karol and his team carried out building work at my ground floor flat in Tufnell Park during the autumn of 2012. It was major structural work which involved erecting a rear extension, removing load bearing walls to create an open kitchen/lounge, removing two large chimney breasts and opening the middle of the flat to create a new bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and entrance hall. Karol then completed all plastering, painting and general fixtures and fittings.

We chose to work with Karol because he continuously displayed an intuitive understanding of what we wanted to achieve and his quote was competitive yet realistic. Both these factors gave my wife and I confidence, especially as this was our first experience with a building contractor.

During the project, Karol and his team worked long hours to deliver to agreed deadlines. Outside of what are legally considered ‘reasonable’ hours Karol restricted to work quiet tasks, such as plastering and electric installations to avoid upsetting our neighbours.

As is often the case with building projects, we chose to amend our plans part way through the work. In fact, the work on the bathroom, hallway and walk-in wardrobe were all additions to the original plan. Yet Karol readily accommodated the additional requests, providing guidance and advice as needed.

A year on, the finished result is a home my wife and I are truly proud of. Visitors frequently comment on the extent of the structural work and the high quality of the finish. I can’t praise Karol enough for his level of professionalism and his team’s attention to detail which leads my wife and I to truly believe the work was money well spent.

Since then, and upon my personal recommendation, Karol and his team have completed building work in my brothers flat in Camden Town, converting it from a one bedroom to a two bedroom property and opening up the entrance hall. This was another beautifully finished job. He has also gutted and installed a new kitchen in a friend’s flat in St John’s Wood. Please let me stress that I would not recommend a contractor to family or close friends unless I had faith in their ability to deliver a value for money service.
